Q. How do I choose the right photography studio?

Browse under “Galleries” section. If the images speak to you, contact us to set up a free consultation at any of our two locations (NY & NJ) . Go over your event in detail with one of our wedding experts. It is recommended that you see the printed portfolio (albums) as that’s what we will be delivering you as your final product.

Q. What is your primary photography style?

We use a photojournalistic shooting style, along with fashion themed photo shoots. We capture the unforgettable moments & stunning details. We believe photographers & videographers should capture the candid moments instead of interfering & drawing attention towards themselves during the ceremony or the reception. This is the reason why we have a planned photo shoot either before or after the wedding.

Q. What is the right way to approach a photographer interview?

Well, try not to think of it as an interview. Look at it more as a consultation and just have a friendly chat with our wedding experts.

Q. What kind of equipment do you use?

We spend a lot of time researching & updating our equipment every year. We use the latest cameras & state of the art lenses. All photographers & videographers carry back-up equipment including cameras.

Q. How much coverage do I need?

This depends on the schedule and the events of the day. Most photographers push for quantity & promise thousands of digital images. Very few talk about the quality of the photos that go in to the album. In a few years you would revisit your day by looking at your wedding album instead of browsing through thousands of images on a computer. At House of Talent you get plenty of coverage as the shooting style primarily is photojournalistic but you also get guaranteed wow shots that will make your album look awesome forever.

Q. Will I need more than one photographer/videographer?

There are no retakes when it comes to weddings. We highly recommend having two photographers & two videographers.  An additional photographer/videographer offers not only another perspective, but a more comprehensive coverage. This gives you more options when it comes to selecting the images for your wedding album. Same goes for the video as the editor has more options to play with while putting everything together.

Q. What type of albums & designs do you offer?

We do custom design storybook albums. Our albums are made in USA. Our staff works closely with the brides to make sure their vision is integrated in the design of the album layouts. We have a super talented album design staff. We have expanded our design department so much that we have our own design company Eye Candy Collages. Brides can go to the sample layout page & select a style for their own book.

Q. Are you available for my wedding?

Please click on the “Contact Us” tab and fill in the form or call us at (516) 644-5454.

Q. Do you do engagement shoots?

Absolutely. Pre-wedding shoots, also known as engagement shoots, help a couple go through the photography process prior to their wedding. This makes it very easy for the bride & the groom to take pictures on the wedding day. Not only they can share these photos on their personal websites & social networking sites, these can also be used to make printed displays for the wedding. We also offer high quality signing books made using your engagement shoot pictures.

Q. Will we meet with the photographer before the wedding?

We insist on you meeting with the photographer before signing with us for your wedding. It is important that you are comfortable with your main photographer.

Q. What are your prices?

All weddings are unique. Specially South Asian weddings vary in the number hours & sometimes days. Therefore, we customize packages. We recommend that you visit us & go over day in detail. If for some reason you can’t make it, then send us as much information as you can via “Contact Us” tab. Here at H.O.T. we don’t have different levels of packages as all clients & all weddings get equal care & quality of service.

6-12 Months before: Book photographer/videographer

Once you select a venue & set a date, contact us & find out our availability. Sometimes clients even book us almost two years in advance. The sooner you start planning, better the chance of booking your first choice vendors.

2-3 Months before: Engagement Shoot

If you have a pre-shoot in your package it is advised you do it as soon as you can. This gives you the opportunity to share your images with your friends & family on your wedding website (if you have one) & also gives us enough time to create the items included in your package.

2 Weeks Before: Detailed Itinerary

We need a list of all the key events taking place on the wedding day along with the addresses (venues) & contacts (people in charge), to re-confirm all the information.

Your Wedding Day:

Congratulations! You have done all the hard work. Just sit back & enjoy.

2 Weeks after the Wedding: Your proof cd is ready

We will have your compressed proof cd ready within 2 weeks after the wedding. This edited disc contains all the images from the wedding. These images also go online as a gallery, which you can share with your friends & family. From this point onwards the timeline depends on you. Once you select the images for your storybook is takes approximately three months to make the album.
